Boy & Girl Scouts

Our Scouts group has been around ever since Lianhua started. In Scouts, every Scout has the opportunity to achieve his/her fullest potential and make a positive impact in our community. The objective of the CCA is to help our pupils develop their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual capacities as individuals and as members of society, and thus contribute to the development of a better school and nation. In view of our objective, the Scouts will learn life skills such as teamwork and perseverance, as well as basic Scouting skills such as knot tying, first aid, foot drill and camp craft. This will earn them proficiency and progress badges. Our scouts have also been involved in camps organised by our district, as well as events in school. Some examples include being the flag bearers during Sports Day, National Day Observance Ceremony, and providing first aid during school events. To encourage our Scouts to give back to the community, we arrange visits to the old folk’s home, for the pupils interact with the elderly.
