24 Robotics Club pupils represented Lianhua Primary School to participate in the Singapore VEX Robotics Championship 2014 held at Rulang Primary School from 23rd to 24th June 2014.
The 2-day event aims to promote robotics education to young students in Singapore. It nurtures our young students' interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) by providing interactive competition platform with designable and programmable robots. This competition has developed and reinforced our students' real-case solving skills and teamwork spirit by providing hands-on experiences and an idea-sharing community.
Our pupils competed against a total of 56 teams from various primary, secondary and tertiary schools in the rigorous preliminary rounds of the competition.
Having put up a good fight, our pupils have done our school proud by clinching 2 Robot Skills Challenge Awards (Silver and Bronze), 1 Programming Skills Challenge Award (Bronze), School Award for the Primary Division (Bronze) and the Judges’ Award for possessing the Best Potential in Robotics.
